Well, yesterday, 2/20 was the Houston Authors Bash.  I didn't participate in yesterday's bash but will be participating in the next event called HAB-Reloaded.  What occurred was that the school that hosts our event is undergoing some construction, and they were concerned about people getting hurt and liability issues, so they informed our organizers that they just couldn't with a clean conscience host our event.  So our organizers worked mad dash crazy like and found another venue for yesterday, but it was a wine bar.  I'm not personally opposed to that, but I'm a children's book author and didn't think I'd do as well because there probably wouldn't be any kids there.  Therefore, I opted to attend the second event.  Now I believe we have a venue but not a date, but our extremely dedicated and awesome organizers are working out the details as fast as they can, and I'll update my blog when I know more.  I hope this new venue will still draw a crowd.  I'm sure it'll still be a fun event and am looking forward to it!
